Education history: Bachelor of Arts in Dramatic Arts from Georgia Southwestern State Univeristy

Faith background: I can’t praise God enough that He chose to bless me with a set of parents who prayed with me, read the bible to me and most of all modeled what was to be a believer in Christ. I grew up in the faith and I came face to face with my need for a savior when I was 12 years old and that’s when I began my own faith journey. God has stuck by me through so much since I began my journey. He has repeatedly demonstrated His love and commitment to me and plan to do my best to honor Him with the rest of my life.

When did you start working at The Crossing? 2014

Family: Pops, Mom, my sister Alli, and my brother Matt.

Education history: Finished my Undergrad at Liberty University in InterCultural Studies and am finishing up my Masters in Pastoral Counseling.

Faith background: I have been very blessed to have wonderful, godly parents who love the Lord. I grew up in the church and on the mission field overseas in Africa. When I was five I clearly remember praying to ask Jesus into my heart. However, my desperate need for Christ did not become real to me until years later. And it was through this time and through many different struggles that God taught me what it meant to put my faith completely in Him and allow Him to take ownership of my life and heart. He is continually revealing to me what it means to love Him and be loved by Him, and through that be able to show His love to other people.

What was your first job? My first job was at Family Christian Bookstore. I loved working there!

What’s one book that has impacted you? The Bible has definitely been the one book that has impacted me the most! I believe it is important to apply it to our everyday lives. “All scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17, ESV).

What was your childhood ambition? To start a band, become a famous singer, and travel all over the world.

When did you start working at The Crossing? 2015

Family: Darren and I were married in the fall of 2014. We met in High School at our church youth group. We realized, after we became really good friends, that we had gone to the same church and had a lot of the same friends since we were little kids! I am very blessed to be married to my best friend! I also have a very supporting and loving family. My parents have always been there to support me and have been incredible role models. My brother Evan has always been one of my best friends and I couldn’t be more proud of him. Lucas is my younger brother by 9 years! He is a lot of fun and is already taller than me! Lexie is my little sister by 10 years. She is a beautiful young lady with many talents!

Education History: I am currently working towards my BS in Christian Counseling and Ministry through Liberty University’s online program.

Faith Background: I have always grown up in a faith based home. I have many incredible influences in my life. Growing up, I knew how important my walk with God was but it wasn’t until my teen years that I really decided I wanted to live fully for Him and follow His plans for my life. I had a chance to go on a mission trip to Romania and the Philippines in High School. My time in Romania was incredible! It was definitely a life-changing experience. A year later I had another opportunity to go to the Philippines. The month I spent there, we held multiple youth conferences, had many adults and teens baptized in the ocean, and spent time loving on many people of all ages. I will never forget my time spent there; it was a beautiful experience! I have also been able to serve in youth ministries. God has truly been working on my heart and has given me a passion for youth and a strong desire to see them grow in their relationship with God.
